Communications Associate

Keiko Carasig is a queer activist, communications specialist, filmmaker, and multimedia artist from the Philippines. Their work with ILGA Asia spans strategic communications, digital campaigns, and public engagement, supporting efforts to advance equality, dignity, and human rights across Asia.

Keiko has collaborated with grassroots organizations, community networks, and regional partners on campaigns and initiatives centered on gender justice, youth leadership, and LGBTQI rights. They previously served as Communications Officer of Babaylanes and have also worked with Trans* Health Philippines on strategic communications. Across these spaces, they have sought to contribute to advocacy efforts by helping translate community voices into stories and campaigns that reach wider audiences.

Keiko studied film at the University of the Philippines, where they developed a foundation in visual storytelling and socially engaged creative practice. Their films explore queer eroticism and the sociological realities of queer lives. Through film, media, and communications, they remain devoted to amplifying underrepresented voices and helping build more inclusive futures.

They are also a devoted fan of queer icon Leslie Cheung.
