Call for Applications: Digital Security Consultant for the Power of Pride Alliance

Power of Pride Alliance is looking for a digital security consultant to increase the capacity of its partners on digital security management by developing policies, tools and processes. 

This consultancy is crucial to ensure the digital safety of the Alliance and enable LGBTIQ movements to freely and safely mobilize online and on the ground.

Background

Power of Pride is a 5-year Strategic Partnership between the Power of Pride Alliance (COC Nederland, ILGA Asia and PAI) and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2021-2025). It will support LGBTIQ organizations in 22 countries in order to create diverse and inclusive societies where LGBTIQ people can participate to their full potential.

Deliverables

The digital security consultant(s) will:

  • Draft a data integrity policy to provide practical guidelines to ensure the integrity, effectiveness, and credibility of the management of data and information,

  • Create a strategic digital security plan to strengthen the Alliance partners’ capacities and build on their resources,

  • Train Alliance partners’ staff to build awareness about and capacity for dealing with digital security risks, and

  • Review the software that Alliance partners are using and make recommendations if applicable.

Minimum Requirements

The consultant(s) must have: 

  • At least 5 years of experience working in the field of digital security,

  • Affinity and sensitivity towards the LGBTIQ community and SOGIESC issues,

  • Good analytic and (English) writing skills,

  • Experience with working with alliances,

  • Good security skills, (digital-) safety, sensitivity and well-being of activists,

  • Good methodological skills, and

  • Good training skills
