Disability Pride Month - Shivangi

🌈 As we close Non-Binary Awareness Week and celebrate Disability Pride Month, we’re reminded by Shivangi Agrawal (they/them)—a queer and disabled activist—that sexual pleasure, care, and intimacy are valid for all bodies, including those often marginalized by ableism, capitalism, and normative expectations.

“For many of us who’ve been made to feel alien in our own bodies and minds, sexual pleasure carries a different weight. It’s not about proving our worth or fitting into norms—it’s about unlearning what we were taught was necessary for love, care, and community, and redefining intimacy on our own terms.”

Let’s uplift stories that break free from conformity, and honor the many ways disabled and non-binary people reclaim joy and belonging.
