At the 2025 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) as, Legal Dignity submitted their Spotlight Report as part of Malaysia’s Voluntary National Review (VNR).

Their Spotlight Report assesses Malaysia’s progress on SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) through a SOGIESC-informed lens — exposing how systemic exclusion and criminalisation continue to marginalise LGBTIQ persons in national policy, data, and development efforts.
