Call for Signatures: Revoke the India Transgender Amendment Act 2026

ILGA Asia, together with regional partners, is collecting signatures for a joint statement calling for the revocation of the India Transgender Amendment Act 2026.

The statement raises urgent concerns about the law’s impact on transgender, intersex, and gender-diverse communities in India, including risks of criminalization, increased surveillance, barriers to gender-affirmative healthcare, restricted access to support systems, and the removal of protections related to self-perceived gender identity.

We invite organizations, collectives, networks, and individuals to add their names in solidarity.
