Disability Pride Month - Uulen
This Disability Pride Month, we’re introducing voices from across Asia who are reshaping the way we think about inclusion and accessibility. Meet Uulen Munkhbat (she/they) from Mongolia, who has been working to raise awareness and understanding about invisible disabilities.
Uulen shares, “If you’ve met one disabled person, you’ve met one disabled person.” Their story reminds us that true accessibility means building systems that work for all of us—not just those whose needs are visible or easy to understand. Uulen challenges us to question the structures we’ve inherited, to listen without assumptions, and to ensure that accessibility is foundational, not conditional.
Their reflection is a call to see, include, and believe in everyone’s lived experience.
